GPS Device Installer

Posted 5 months ago

We are looking for experienced automobile GPS device installers to do onsite installations and are currently accepting candidates who have an interest or experience in GPS tracking and vehicle monitoring systems.

Ideal candidates should possess knowledge of private, passenger and commercial vehicle interiors as they are required to safely remove panels to gain access to vehicle wiring and diagnostic ports. Ability to properly test and tap into 12V constant and ignition sources using a DMM is essential. Certain jobs may require running lengths of wire to connect sensors and various other components. As such, the ability to climb ladders and work in confined spaces is a requirement.

General knowledge of Global Positioning System (GPS) operation and how common devices that receive a GPS signal operate in an in-vehicle application is a must so you can intelligently discuss factors that affect the operation of those devices to the client/end user.

Using a DMM to measure voltage (AC and DC), low current, resistance and continuity on vehicle electrical systems and aftermarket mobile electronics equipment is essential in this position to troubleshoot on-site issues/repairs.

Candidates are expected to own and maintain their own work tools.

TTPS certificate of character no more than 6 months from date of issue

Strong speaking and customer service excellence skills

Well-groomed in appearance

One to three (1-3) years of professional GPS device installation experience is preferred, but we will also consider candidates who have some relevant experience in the installation and troubleshooting of car stereo and car alarm systems.

Relevant certification and/or technical training would be an asset.
